Event Guidelines

Please read this page in its entirety

The purpose of this site is to promote pro-fiction events in the Trigun fandom. All events found on the "main" Trigun events table list must have a clear anti-censorship and anti-harassment stance. Events must meet the following criteria:

  • Event account and/or moderator bio(s) indicate pro-fiction views:
    • Examples: pro-ship, pro-fiction, anti-harassment, and/or anti-censorship.
  • Allow dead dove creators to join the event.
    • Note: organizers may ask contributors not to use dead dove content to apply to the events.
  • Encourages contributors to tag ships and warnings for ease of filtering works.

Events to avoid

There is a separate table for those who want to avoid events that don't follow the above criteria, and engage in censorship and/or harassment ("events to avoid").

Events will be listed as "to avoid" in the following cases:

  • The event restricts certain creators from applying because they create or engage with dead dove content (even when submitted content adheres to the event guidelines).
  • One or more event moderator(s) have harassed or targeted individuals in the fandom.
  • One or more zine contributor(s) have harassed or targeted individuals in the fandom.
  • The event restricts content on the basis that said restricted content "condones" or "fetishizes/sexualizes" dead dove topics.*
    • What classifies a particular fanwork as "condoning" or "fetishizing/sexualizing" a dead dove topic is subjective.
  • The event bio or a moderator's bio has the phrase "pro-shippers do not interact" or "KV do not interact".**

Regarding dead dove content*

One can have many reasons for engaging in dead dove content and its themes, and have no obligation to justify or explain themselves. What one creates and consumes does not reflect their personal values.

We are aware that not everyone is comfortable with NSFW and/or dead dove content, and not all zines can print these materials. Events that limit content for valid reasons (for example, not based on morals) must declare an anti-harassment stance. Content limitations will be noted on the "main" list.

Example: If a particular ship is restricted when every other ship is allowed, the event must mention they are anti-harassment and cannot meet any of the “to avoid” criteria.

Regarding KV-only content restrictions**

While some accounts with "KV do not interact" in their bio may be uncomfortable with incest for valid reasons, we are also aware that this phrase has been used as an alternative to "pro-ship" to avoid being blocked. As such, we see the phrase as a tool to deceive others about their stance on fictional content. For more information, please read: Fanlore: Pro-shipper and Sam Aburime's Anti-Fan Archive
